“Karl Eichinger who may just be the latest incarnation of Gershwin’s “go-to” interpreter” .
The American FANFARE magazine about New CD “Rhapsody in Blue” (Gramola Vienna) with Brno Philharmonic and works by George Gershwin (Concerto in F, Rhapsody in Blue) and young Austrian composer Daniel Muck (concerto for piano).
Karl Eichinger studied piano at Vienna’s Universtiy for Music and Dramatic Arts (Viktor Teuflmayr), where he received his Masters and Diploma. He continued his studies with masterclasses with Oleg Maisenberg and Rudolf Kehrer as well as the Vienna Conservatory in piano performance (Franz Zettl) and jazz piano, when Rudi Wilfer was his professor in the latter field.
In summer 2024 Karl Eichinger performed George Gershwins „Concerto in F“ and „Rhapsody in Blue“ with Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra and Daniela Fally at famous Austrian Festival Grafenegg/Wolkenturm.
Karl Eichinger has worked with numerous Orchestras in Austria and abroad as like Tonkünstler Orchester, Wiener Concert Verein, Berliner Symphoniker, Brno Philharmonic, Sarajewo Philharmonic a.o. as a soloist and cooperated with musicians such as Hans Gansch, Ildiko Raimondi, Caspar Richter, Andreas Schager, Daniela Fally, Peter Matic, Cornelius Obonya …
Karl Eichinger has toured all around the world and has appeared both as soloist and in his role as a chamber musician, at numerous prestigious venues, including Vienna’s Musikverein and Konzerthaus, at the Wiener Festwochen, Jeunesse Musicale, Carinthian Summer, the Allegro Vivo Chamber Music Festival, the Pablo Casals Festival in Prades/France, Chambermusic Festival Toronto, Interfest Bitola, Musikwochen Millstatt etc.
He toured in Asia, Canada, France, Spain, Israel, Romania, Egypt, China, South Africa, Poland and Germany.
Karl Eichinger is director of “Internationale Konzerttage Stift Zwettl”.
Karl Eichinger is the head of “Vienna Symphony Virtuosi” and the concert series “Musik aus Geschichte und Gegenwart” in Vienna.
He has participated in several radio, TV and CD productions.
